ABOUT OUR

Lifting Equipment

Over the past few years we have invested heavily in our lifting equipment including a new crawler crane, spreader, slings and shackles. All of our equipment is insured, inspected and fully serviced regularly.

OUR EQUIPMENT

Crawler Crane

Our crane is a Kobelco BM700 Crawler Crane capable of lifting up to 65 tons although with our current boom configuration our maximum lifting weight is currently 42 tons. It was built in 2001 in Hiroshima, Japan.

Our equipment

Spreader

Our spreader is a Modulift CMOD34 modular lifting frame rated up to 40 tons. The modular nature of the frame allows us to to change our sling width/length configuration to accomodate all sizes and types of craft from small tenders to cruisers all the way through to wide beams and dutch barges.

our equipment

Shackles

We use industry leading Green Pin shackles from Dutch manufacturer Van Beest. We use a combination of 25 ton bow shackles with safety pins to rig our endless slings to our hook and 17 ton standard screw bow shackles for our lifting slings.

our equipment

Roundslings

To hang our spreader from our crane hook we use 4 x 20 ton 4 metre roundlsings from Safety Lifting Gear.

Lifting Slings

Our 13 metre x 300mm duplex flat weighted webslings are perfectly designed to safely and gently lift boats of all sizes and shapes. They are fitted with lead pads to aid with submergence in the water and heavy duty wear sleeves to promote longevity and safety. Each sling is certified to lift 20 tonnes taking our total sling weight capability to 40 tonnes.
